Year One – Level 4 (Cert HE)

  • Contemporary Challenges: Making a Difference (20 credits; compulsory)
  • Digital Skills for Personal Development and Business Growth (20 credits; compulsory)
  • Effective Teamworking and Communication (20 credits; compulsory)
  • Learning in the Digital Era (20 credits; compulsory)
  • Managing Enterprise (20 credits; compulsory)
  • Professional Career Development (20 credits; compulsory).

Career and Progression

Links with a variety of organisations within the third, public and private sector and regular guest speakers and mentoring opportunities are incorporated into both the CertHE and BA programmes to highlight the range of jobs and careers routes open to the students. 

Participation in the ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week Events’ and the ‘Summer Start Up Festival”, plus attendance and links with Big Ideas Wales Role Model sessions enable students to speak with and learn from successful entrepreneurs.
