Course Overview

This unique programme is designed as a ‘feeder’ into any one of the Health Portfolio degree programmes. It could also gain you entry onto degrees within the wider UWTSD offering. We will support and develop your knowledge and ability in the core concepts, theories and underpinning knowledge of health and social care, as well as upskill you in the skills and academic rigour needed to achieve in higher education.

The CertHE Care is offered as a ONE YEAR flexible route qualification. This means you are able to pass this course then begin the first year of the HND, FdSc, BSc or DipHE of your choice (either in Health and Social Care, Health Management, Health and Care of Children and Young People or Nursing).

The Health Portfolio programmes are purposely integrated to allow flexible entry and exit between pathways and courses. At the end of each year you are able to progress onto a different programme if your career choices or employment opportunities change.

We also provide a high level of academic support across the whole university to help strengthen your academic skills.
