  • Academic and Employability Skills (20 credits; compulsory)
    • To provide the student with the underlying study/research strategies and software skills to facilitate effective study in Higher Education.
    • To enable the student to take responsibility for their learning.
    • To enable the student to gain confidence and competence as an effective employee by developing a range of employability skills such as reflection, time management, and presentation skills.
  • Digital Skills and Research Methods (20 credits; compulsory)
    • To improve the student’s digital skills within the workplace.
    • To develop an awareness of the importance of effective analysis of information and its translation into knowledge.
  • Introduction to Health and Social Care (20 credits; compulsory)
    • To develop an understanding of the health and social care sector in the UK.
  • Introduction to Public Health (20 credits; compulsory)
    • To raise learners’ awareness and critical evaluation of factors influencing public health and the different approaches taken to reduce the incidence of disease and illness in communities.
  • Professional Development within Health and Social Care (20 credits; compulsory)
    • To introduce students to strategies for personal reflection and career development planning within health and social care.
    • To gain confidence and competence as an effective health and social care employee and practitioner.
  • Psychology in Health and Social Care (20 credits; compulsory)

  • Support staff (cleaning staff, chef and driver) – will support staff on the daily operations of the business in ensuring that all is run smoothly and efficiently.
