This programme is currently undergoing the formal validation process with the University for the Creative Arts (UCA). “Subject to validation” indicates that the course is in development and awaiting final academic approval. We are working in close partnership with UCA to complete this process and are confident in a positive outcome.

Applicants are welcome to apply and may be offered a place on the programme. However, please note that enrolment and course delivery will only proceed once validation has been successfully granted. Should the programme not receive validation, applicants will be notified as soon as possible and offered appropriate alternatives or a full refund of any fees paid.**

Applicants should plan for the following costs: broadband access, a suitable electronic device for independent learning, and any expenses related to field trips or visits. All trips will be communicated well in advance to avoid unexpected or short-notice costs.

Year 1 (Level 4): Foundations of Hospitality and EventsBuild your confidence and core skills while gaining insight into the global service sector and sustainable enterprise.Core Modules

  • Introduction to Hospitality and Events Management (30 credits)
    Understand the fundamentals of tourism, hospitality and events and their economic and cultural impact.
  • Marketing in the Digital Age (30 credits)
    Explore marketing principles, data analysis and customer engagement in a digital world.
  • Digital Transformation and Business Innovation (30 credits)
    Learn how digital tools can drive innovative thinking and support enterprise.
  • Academic Skills for Success (30 credits)
    Build academic confidence through research skills, digital literacy, and reflective practice. This unit runs throughout the year for continuous support.

In your second year, you will engage with a one-week Successful Transitions Toolkit, a focused programme that supports your progression to Level 5 and helps consolidate your learning from Year 1. 

Year 2 (Level 5): Applied Strategy and LeadershipApply critical thinking to real-world business issues, explore event experience design and refine your professional judgement.Core Modules

  • Leading and Managing Real-World Businesses (30 credits)
    Develop insights into leadership, organisational culture, crisis management, and team performance.
  • Event Design and Experience Creation (30 credits)
    Discover how to develop events from concept to delivery, using sensory and audience-centric design.
  • Strategy and Decision-Making for Hospitality Businesses (30 credits)
    Analyse internal and external drivers of strategy using a values-led, global perspective.

Creative Events Project (30 credits)
Tackle a live brief with a sustainable solution. Research, plan, and deliver a creative proposal demonstrating teamwork, judgement, and professionalism.
